The fifth leg of the US Kids India NCR Tour at the Classic Golf and Country Club saw impressive performances, especially from the girls. Naaysha Singh from Noida delivered a flawless 9-hole round in the Girls
8 Category, scoring birdies on both the fourth and ninth holes. Annika Chendira, competing in the Girls 11-12 category, achieved five birdies despite two bogeys and a double bogey.
In a thrilling contest in the Girls 9-10 category, Aaradhya Bhatnagar and Aadya Kaushal both scored 75. Aaradhya emerged victorious after winning the play-off. Among the boys, Drona Singh Dhull stood out with an even-par 72 in the Boys 11 category. Despite an early double bogey on the second hole, he recovered with birdies on the third, fourteenth, and eighteenth holes.
Zowra Sikand claimed victory in the Boys 8 category with a score of 1-over 37 for his 9-hole round. Several players continued their winning streaks from previous legs of the tournament. Zowra Sikand (Boys 8), Kabir Kanwar (Boys 9), and Drona Singh Dhull (Boys 11) were among those who repeated their successes. In the girls' categories, Naaysha S Sinha (Girls 8), Naina Kapoor (Girls 13-14), and Thea Ajoomal also secured back-to-back wins.
The winners of this leg included Kabir Singh Sachar from Gurgaon in Boys 6 with a score of 66, Keon Aggarwal from Gurgaon in Boys 7 with a score of +4 over par at 40, and Upraj Singh Mehdriratta from Mohali in Boys 10 with a score of +9 over par at 81. Vidit Aggawal from Delhi won Boys 13-14 with a score of +4 over par at 76.
In other categories, Aarnav Patel from Ahmedabad triumphed in Boys 12 with a score of +2 over par at 74. The Girls' categories saw Naaysha S Sinha win Girls 8 with -2 under par at 34, while Naina Kapoor won Girls 13-14 with +4 over par at 76. Thea Ajoomal took home the title for Girls 15-18 with +4 over par at 76.
The event highlighted young talent across various age groups, showcasing their skills on a competitive platform. The performances were commendable as these young golfers demonstrated remarkable skill and composure throughout their rounds.
