The Indian Street Premier League Season 3 has reached its business stages as four teams have now advanced to the knockout stages.
In a thrilling finale to the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) Season 3 league stage at Lalbhai Contractor Stadium, Ahmedabad Lions clinched table-topping honours with 14 points after a nail-biting one-run victory over Chennai Singams, thus finishing at the top of the table.
Batting first, Lions posted 92/5 in 10 overs, powered by Sikandarbhai Bhatti's explosive 34 off 17 balls (5 fours) and Amit Naik's crucial 29 off 17 (2 sixes). Chennai's Ankur Singh starred with 1/6, supported by Jagannath Sarkar's 1/9.
Chasing 93, Chennai Singams faltered despite Ketan Mhatre's unbeaten 54 off 30 (6 fours, 2 sixes). Aman Yadav
made 12 off 10, but early losses of Mohammed Nadeem (7) and Sarfraz Khan (4) hurt. Lions captain Jignesh Patel's 2/14, dismissing Sarkar and Yadav, sealed the defense as Singams ended on 90/5.
