The much-awaited three-match ODI series between England and India kicks off on July 14, 2026, at Edgbaston, with England revealing the squad on Friday (July 3).
The series, part of India's white-ball tour of England, promises high-quality cricket as both sides play in the 50-over format after the T20I series.
England have named a 16-player squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against India, with Sussex all-rounder James Coles earning his first-ever call-up to the national 50-over side.
The squad also features uncapped ODI seamer Josh Tongue, while Jofra Archer returns to the format after making his last ODI appearance in November last year. Fast bowlers Gus Atkinson and Saqib Mahmood are back in the setup after missing England's ODI tour
of Sri Lanka earlier this year.
Harry Brook will continue as England's full-time white-ball captain and is set to lead the side against India. Brook, who has also emerged as a leading candidate to replace Ben Stokes as England's Test captain in the future, retains the leadership role in the ODI setup as England continue to build towards their next major assignments.
Shubman Gill captains a formidable 15-member Indian side, strengthened by the returns of veterans Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and premier pacer Jasprit Bumrah. Shreyas Iyer serves as vice-captain, while KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan offer wicket-keeping options. Harshit Rana is back in the side for the Indian team, while Kuldeep Yadav is among the three spinners.
