Salman Agha Breaks Into Top 20 Batters
Middle-order batter Salman Agha has made a remarkable jump in the latest ODI batting rankings, climbing 14 places to reach 16th - his career-best position. His unbeaten 105 off 87 balls in the opening ODI against Sri Lanka at Rawalpindi was a standout performance that not only guided Pakistan to victory but also elevated his global standing.
With this rise, Salman now becomes Pakistan's second-highest ranked ODI batter, sitting just behind captain Babar Azam, who holds the 7th position. His consistent displays under pressure have made him a key figure in Pakistan's middle order, earning praise from fans and experts alike.
Abrar Ahmed Enters Top 20 ODI Bowlers
Pakistan's mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed has also broken new ground in the bowling charts, leaping 17 spots to 20th place after strong outings in recent matches. His performances against South Africa - claiming 3 for 53 and 4 for 27 - showcased his control and wicket-taking ability in the middle overs.
Abrar now trails only Shaheen Shah Afridi (16th) among Pakistan's ODI bowlers, underlining his rapid rise as one of the team's most promising spin options in white-ball cricket.
Global Ranking Movements Across Formats
Beyond Pakistan's duo, several international players have also seen movement in the latest ICC rankings. Charith Asalanka climbed one spot to 6th, Quinton de Kock moved up four places to 15th, Saim Ayub jumped 18 spots to 35th, and Matthew Breetzke advanced eight places to 49th in the ODI batting list.
In the bowling department, Wanindu Hasaranga (9th), Asitha Fernando (25th), Haris Rauf (28th), and Sandeep Lamichhane (48th) registered notable progress.
T20I Rankings: Jacob Duffy Climbs to Third
In the latest T20I rankings, New Zealand's Jacob Duffy surged to third place among bowlers, while teammates Mitchell Santner (23rd) and Tim Robinson (23rd) also improved. Meanwhile, Roston Chase (32nd) and Rovman Powell (30th) made gains following strong performances in the New Zealand-West Indies series.
