Endrick delivered a standout display as Lyon beat Metz 5-2 in Ligue 1, with the on-loan forward becoming the youngest player in club history to score a hat-trick. The result strengthened Lyon’s grip on fourth place, while Ruben Kluivert and Tyler Morton added further goals.
The Brazilian forward is 19 years and 188 days old, which places Endrick ahead of Bernard Lacombe, who was 19 years and 196 days, as Lyon’s youngest Ligue 1 hat-trick scorer. In the league’s recent history, only three players have managed a hat-trick at a younger age.
Those earlier achievements came from Jeremy Menez in January 2005 at 17 years and 260 days, Kylian Mbappe in February 2017 at 18 years and 53 days, and Ousmane Dembele in March 2016 at 18 years and 296 days. Endrick
now joins that select list of young Ligue 1 hat-trick scorers.
Endrick joined Lyon on loan from Real Madrid in December for the second half of the 2025-26 season. The forward has made an immediate impact, scoring four goals in the first three matches in all competitions. No Lyon player has started faster since Mariano Diaz scored three times in the same span in August 2017.
The performance against Metz also meant Endrick became the 25th Brazilian player to score a league goal for Lyon. Endrick recorded six shots on target in the match, which equals the most by a Lyon player in Ligue 1 since Opta began tracking the competition in 2006-07.
| Player | Club | Date | Age at hat-trick |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jeremy Menez | Sochaux | January 2005 | 17 years 260 days |
| Ousmane Dembele | Rennes | March 2016 | 18 years 296 days |
| Kylian Mbappe | Monaco | February 2017 | 18 years 53 days |
| Endrick | Lyon | 2025-26 season | 19 years 188 days |
Alexandre Lacazette is the only Lyon player to match Endrick’s six shots on target in a Ligue 1 match during the Opta era, doing so against Monaco in May 2016. Endrick’s early form under Paulo Fonseca now gives Lyon further attacking depth as the season continues.
