Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna expects the Rasmus Hojlund Napoli transfer to become permanent at the end of the season, with the forward’s loan from Manchester United described as effectively settled if certain conditions are met, following a strong first half of the campaign.
Hojlund joined the reigning Serie A champions on loan after a difficult period under Ruben Amorim at United, but the striker’s impact in Italy has grown under Antonio Conte, strengthening the case for a full Rasmus Hojlund Napoli transfer once the current season ends.
Under Conte, Hojlund has scored six goals in 12 Serie A matches, already beating the four league goals managed across the whole of the previous campaign with Manchester United, while also adding two
goals in the Champions League to underline the value of a permanent Rasmus Hojlund Napoli transfer.
Only Lautaro Martinez, with nine league goals, and Christian Pulisic, with eight, have scored more in Serie A this season than Hojlund, who is 22 years old and also scored and assisted during Napoli’s Supercoppa Italiana triumph, further supporting the logic behind a long-term Rasmus Hojlund Napoli transfer.

When asked if Hojlund's permanent Napoli transfer was just a formality,Manna replied, As of today, I think so. We did everything we could to sign him. There were more storied clubs interested, but his will was crucial, and we are proud of it. We had no doubts. Rasmus is decisive in terms of numbers, but also in how he understands the coach's input. This makes a difference. There's an option to buy and an obligation to buy if we qualify for the Champions League. The player considers himself a Napoli player, and the same goes for us. This is extremely important.
Manna’s comments highlight that Napoli hold both an option to buy and a conditional obligation linked to Champions League qualification, meaning the Rasmus Hojlund Napoli transfer depends partly on the club’s league finish, though both the player and management already treat the deal as effectively permanent.
