Anvitha Narender moved into pole position at the Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour 2026 in Pune, overtaking first-round leader Tvesa Malik after the second round at Oxford Golf Resort. Anvitha returned an even-par 72 for a two-round total of 143, while Tvesa slipped to second after a 2-over 74.
Tvesa, who had gone bogey-free in the opening round, could not repeat that control on 11 February. Three birdies were offset by three bogeys and a double bogey, which dropped Tvesa one stroke behind Anvitha at 144. Only one round now remains in the third leg.
The chasing pack stayed close behind the leading pair, keeping the contest open ahead of the final round. Riya Jadon climbed into third on 145 after a composed 72, which featured three birdies and three bogeys.
Just one shot further back stood Nayanika Sanga on 146, helped by a strong early run of birdies.
Nayanika opened the day with three birdies in the first seven holes to move quickly up the board. Momentum then eased, and a single bogey over the remaining stretch left Nayanika with a 71. That round still kept Nayanika within striking distance of the leaders at Oxford Golf Resort.
Three players shared fifth place on 147, underlining the depth in the field. Ketaki Sood shot 71, while Shagun Narain carded 74, and amateur Priya Kumari returned 75. All three reached 3-over for two rounds, leaving them four shots behind Anvitha but still in touch.
Behind them, the group on 148 featured contrasting rounds. Amateur Mannat Brar, one of only three golfers to break par in the second round, joined Ridhima Dilawari, who carded 73. Their performances kept both in joint eighth place, maintaining an outside chance of a late charge.
Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour 2026 sees tight mid-field and key milestones
A large cluster formed at 149, tying several known names in tenth place after two rounds. Last year's Hero Order of Merit winner, Vani Kapoor, shot 73 to sit alongside Khushi Khanijau, amateur Aradhana Manikandan, Karishma Govind and Durga Nittur, who all recorded 75, and Ananya Garg, who signed for 76.
Durga also recorded the standout moment of the tournament so far with a rare ace. Durga produced the first hole-in-one of the Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour 2026 season, holing out from 140 yards on the par-3 14th. The feat came during Durga's 75, which kept Durga inside the top ten group.
Anvitha's second round began in testing fashion with a bogey on the opening hole. Birdies on the ninth and 11th repaired the early damage, but a dropped shot followed on the 12th. A birdie at the 16th and bogey on the 17th left Anvitha level for the day, yet clear at the top.
The scoring cut fell at 154, and the field was trimmed for the last round. A total of 24 professionals and 4 amateurs progressed to the final day at Oxford Golf Resort. Those who qualified will now contest the title and crucial Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour 2026 Order of Merit points.
The tournament is being played as the third leg of the Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour 2026 season. With only one stroke separating Anvitha and Tvesa, and several players within a few shots, the final round in Pune is set up for a close finish, with every birdie and bogey likely to influence the outcome.
