IND vs SA: India wrapped up the three-match ODI series against South Africa in convincing fashion, cruising to a nine-wicket win in the final game at the ACA-VDCA Stadium in Visakhapatnam on Saturday (December
6).
The chase of 271 never looked threatening once skipper Rohit Sharma and young opener Yashasvi Jaiswal got going at the top.
Rohit produced a fluent 75 off 73 balls, timing the ball beautifully and taking charge early with seven boundaries and three sixes. His partnership with Jaiswal, worth 155 runs for the first wicket, completely flattened South Africa's hopes. Jaiswal later went on to remain unbeaten on 116, registering his first ODI century as India sealed the series 2-1.
After India’s win in Vizag, the team was celebrating at the hotel by cutting a victory cake. When Jaiswal went to feed the cake to Rohit Sharma, Rohit said, "nahi bhai, me Mota ho jauga vapas"😭❤️

The celebrations that followed were as entertaining as the match itself. At the team hotel, the players cut a cake to mark the win - and what happened next quickly took over social media. When Jaiswal tried feeding Rohit a bite of cake, the Indian captain hilariously declined and quipped, "Nahi khayenge, mota ho jaunga wapis. " The line instantly became a trending meme as fans shared the clip across platforms. Interestingly, Virat Kohli - standing beside them - did take a bite, adding another layer of amusement to the moment.
Beyond the humour, the night also carried historic significance for Rohit. During his knock, he crossed the 20,000-run milestone in international cricket, becoming only the fourth Indian batter to do so, joining Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Virat Kohli. Rohit now sits on 20,048 career runs, overtaking AB de Villiers' tally of 20,014.
Rohit also matched yet another record - tying David Warner for the most sixes against South Africa in international cricket, with both standing at 63 maximums. Already the king of six-hitting in ODIs, T20Is and world cricket combined, Rohit continues to maintain his dominance against major opponents including Australia, Sri Lanka and the West Indies.
A clinical win, a landmark achievement, and a viral celebration - Rohit Sharma ensured the night had everything.
