Ruben Neves has committed to Al-Hilal until 2029, signing a new contract with the Saudi Pro League leaders. The agreement follows transfer speculation and confirms that the Portugal international will remain in Riyadh beyond the window.
Neves had been linked with a return to Europe during the January trading period, but no move developed. Instead, Neves agreed a three-year extension to the existing deal, having initially joined Al-Hilal from Wolves in 2023.
Since 2023, Neves has made 75 league appearances for Al-Hilal. The midfielder has 12 goals, eight from penalties, and 25 assists. Neves has created 166 chances, fourth-most, including 78 from set pieces, which rank third. Only Riyad Mahrez, on 27 assists, has more.

Al-Hilal also strengthened this week by signing Karim Benzema from rivals Al-Ittihad. Neves’ extended stay, combined with that move, gives the league leaders continuity and experience as Al-Hilal chase domestic success and stronger regional and continental campaigns.
