Lennart Karl scored again in the Champions League, helping Bayern Munich secure a 3-1 victory over Sporting CP. This marked his third consecutive game scoring in the tournament. The young talent netted
in the 69th minute, putting Bayern ahead before Jonathan Tah confirmed their win. Earlier, Karl's goal was disallowed due to an offside call against Serge Gnabry.
Sporting CP initially took the lead when Joshua Kimmich accidentally turned Joao Simoes' cross into his own net. However, Bayern quickly responded. Serge Gnabry equalised by volleying Michael Olise's corner past Rui Silva in the 65th minute. Just four minutes later, Karl received a pass from Konrad Laimer and scored at Silva's near post, completing Bayern's comeback.
Bayern Munich maintained their impressive home record in the Champions League with this win. They have not lost in their last 37 matches at Allianz Arena since December 2013, boasting 35 wins and two draws. Despite falling behind initially, they dominated the game with an expected goals (xG) total of 2.16 from 23 shots compared to Sporting's xG of 0.28 from just four attempts.
Vincent Kompany's side pushed hard for an early goal after Karl's initial strike was ruled out. Rui Silva made a crucial save to deny Gnabry shortly after that incident. Meanwhile, Manuel Neuer had to react quickly to stop Jonathan Tah from scoring an own goal when he deflected Ousmane Diomande's cross towards Bayern's net.
At just 17 years and 290 days old, Lennart Karl became the youngest player to score in three consecutive Champions League appearances since the competition began in its current format in 1992-93. His performance was pivotal for Bayern as they aimed for a top-eight finish following their previous loss to Arsenal.

Karl ended the match with five shots, more than any other player on his team. Only Olise surpassed him in creating chances and successful dribbles during the game. Olise managed five chances and six dribbles compared to Karl’s three chances and three dribbles.
Harry Kane almost added another goal for Bayern before halftime but hit the post instead. Despite this missed opportunity, Bayern continued applying pressure throughout the match until they secured their victory through Tah’s late goal assisted by Gnabry’s header across goal.
