The Women's Premier League mega auction has concluded after an action-packed evening in Delhi, which saw the franchises splashing their money to acquire a strong team ahead of the WPL 2026 season.
UP Warriorz
and Gujarat Giants were the heavy buyers, while Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians also made some key acquisitions to bolster their units.
Deepti Sharma has become the most expensive buy in this auction, as she was snapped up by UP Warriorz for Rs 3.20 crore. Amelia Kerr joined Mumbai Indians for Rs 3 crore, whereas veteran India pacer Shikha Pandey was sold to the Warriorz for a gigantic Rs 2.40 crore. Sophie Devine was also a big buy as Gujarat Giants signed her for Rs 2 crore.
Alyssa Healy went surprisingly unsold, and the likes of Alana King, Issy Wong had the same fate as they found no teams. Pratika Rawal, despite her injury, has been roped in by UP Warriorz.
In terms of the uncapped players, Anuska Sharma went to Gujarat Giants for Rs 45 lakh, while Amandeep Kaur, Vaishnavi Sharma went unsold.
