Sunderland's manager, Regis Le Bris, praised his team's resilience after they secured a 2-2 draw against Arsenal, the league leaders. Brian Brobbey scored in stoppage time to equalise. Arsenal had not
conceded in their last eight matches until Dan Ballard's powerful shot gave Sunderland the lead at halftime. Mikel Arteta's team responded with goals from Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard, but Brobbey's late goal ensured both teams shared the points.
Sunderland have excelled in scoring late goals this season, with three of their 90th-minute goals changing match outcomes in their favour. Le Bris commended his players' determination, saying, "The lads worked hard to the end. They believed it was possible to change the dynamic. " He acknowledged Arsenal as one of Europe's best teams and expressed pride in his team's belief that they could score again despite challenges.
Brobbey's contribution from the bench was crucial, marking Sunderland's fourth substitute goal this season. Only West Ham and Brighton have more substitute goals. Le Bris highlighted the strength of his substitutes, stating, "We have many good options coming off the bench. " He noted that some players haven't played much but remain engaged with the squad.
Sunderland currently hold fourth place with 19 points from 11 games, marking their best top-flight start since Hull City in 2008/09. Despite this success, Le Bris sees room for growth. He remarked on the importance of continuous improvement for both fans and coaching staff: "For our fans, they deserve to look to the future with positive vibes. "
Le Bris emphasised that analysing performances is key to enhancing the squad further. The manager remains focused on refining strategies and player development to maintain momentum throughout the season.

Le Bris also acknowledged Brian Brobbey's hard work following Wilson Isidor's strong start. He described Brobbey's goal as a reward for his efforts: "Brian worked hard after Wilson [Isidor], because Wilson started well. " This highlights Sunderland's depth and ability to adapt during matches.
As Sunderland continue their campaign, maintaining their current form will be crucial for achieving long-term success. The team's ability to score late goals and utilise substitutes effectively has been a significant factor in their impressive start this season.
