Juventus delivered a dominant 5-0 win over Cremonese at the Allianz Stadium, yet Luciano Spalletti still described Inter and Napoli as ahead in terms of overall level. The coach pointed to recent performances
from those rivals and stressed that Juventus must grow further to compete across a long Serie A season.
The victory lifted Juventus to fourth place, four points behind leaders Inter and one behind AC Milan. Inter, Milan and third-placed Napoli all hold a game in hand, scheduled for 14 and 15 January 2026. Bremer, Jonathan David, Kenan Yildiz and Weston McKennie all scored as Juventus controlled the match.
Since the start of November, when Spalletti took charge, Juventus have matched Inter’s attacking numbers in Serie A. Juventus have scored 20 league goals in that spell, the same total as Inter. Across that period, only Inter have earned more points and recorded more victories than Juventus.
Spalletti’s team have collected 24 points from seven wins since that November change, while Inter posted 25 points and eight wins. Juventus have also produced their first five-goal league display since February 2018, when they defeated Sassuolo 7-0 at the Allianz Stadium, underlining the recent attacking improvement.

After watching Inter face Napoli, Spalletti used that fixture as a benchmark for Juventus. "I watched Inter-Napoli last night, they showed the top level of football, open and attacking football, with character and ideas, representing their coaches," Spalletti told Sky Sport Italia. "I think we need to improve a lot to reach their level, and we need to take those steps quickly. I have seen great effort from these lads, so I feel we can make those improvements. "
Spalletti also reflected on the manner of the Cremonese win and highlighted Davide Nicola’s well-drilled side. "When you take on this work, there can always be surprises, good and bad ones, as the pitch does the talking," Spalletti added when asked about Juventus form. "We were in control, we had a good game and were set out well, we had the right hunger against an opponent that knows what its doing. Davide Nicola knows the top flight very well and what his squad has to do, so they are well-organised and ready to battle. With a bit of good luck, we managed to get the result on track early, but then also had some bad luck with that penalty off the upright. I think all things considered we were in charge, although there were still a few wobbles that are hard to get rid of. "
Juventus now remain firmly in the Scudetto conversation, yet Spalletti continues to underline the gap to Inter and Napoli. Recent numbers show progress in goals and points, but the coach is demanding further steps. The coming weeks, and those games in hand, will clarify Juventus standing.
