Aston Villa have agreed a deal worth around 12m (10m) to bring 17-year-old striker Brian Madjo from Metz, with the transfer confirmed on Madjo's 17th birthday. The forward becomes Villa's second January
arrival at Villa Park, following former Gremio winger Alysson into the club.
Madjo was born in London and has already featured nine times for England's under-17 side, scoring four goals. Before that, Madjo earned three senior caps for Luxembourg last year, then switched back to England, the country of birth, to continue international development at youth level.

Madjo began this Ligue 1 season in Metz's starting line-up, playing the first two league matches. Since then, opportunities have reduced, with three substitute appearances. Aston Villa intend to place Madjo, along with Alysson, into their youth structure, allowing both signings to adjust within a development setting.
Unai Emery's Aston Villa squad are reportedly pursuing further January transfer moves for Conor Gallagher and Tammy Abraham, as the club continue a surprise Premier League title challenge. Away from Villa, forward Donyell Malen is being linked with a transfer to Serie A side Roma, adding another angle to the wider European market activity.
