India will have one final opportunity to add to its medal tally on the concluding day of the Commonwealth Games 2026, with judokas and track cyclists carrying the country's hopes before the curtain falls on Glasgow.
Having already secured 39 medals (13 gold, 17 silver and nine bronze), India heads into the final day looking to finish on a high before the closing ceremony, where Ahmedabad will officially be unveiled as the host city for the 2030 Commonwealth Games.
Avtar Singh headlines India's final judo challenge
Olympian Avtar Singh will spearhead India's medal hopes in the men's -100kg category after Indian judo produced its most successful Commonwealth Games campaign.
The Rio 2016 Olympian will be joined by Ishroop Narang (women's -78kg) and Yash Ghangas (men's +100kg), with all three beginning
their campaigns in the afternoon before the medal rounds later in the evening.
India has already created history in judo, with Asmita Dey becoming the country's first-ever Commonwealth Games gold medallist in the sport. Harsh Singh followed with another gold, while Yamini Mourya claimed silver and Unnati Sharma added bronze.
Cyclists chase historic medal
Track cycling also offers India an opportunity to finish the Games with a landmark achievement.
Ronaldo Singh Laitonjam will compete in the men's 1000m time trial final, while Harshveer Singh Sekhon and Dinesh Kumar aim to qualify for the men's 40km points race final.
In para track cycling, 16-year-old Lisha Das, the youngest member of India's Glasgow 2026 contingent, will contest the women's C4-C5 1000m time trial final.
Ahmedabad to take centre stage at closing ceremony
The Games will officially conclude with the closing ceremony at Glasgow's Hydro Arena.
As part of the traditional host-city handover, India will officially receive the Commonwealth Games flag ahead of Ahmedabad 2030.
The ceremony will feature a 20-minute cultural showcase led by singer Shankar Mahadevan, actor Manushi Chhillar and other performers, celebrating India's heritage before the Games move to Ahmedabad.
