Craig Bellamy has made it clear that he is dedicated to his role with Wales, despite speculation linking him to a managerial position at Celtic. Following Brendan Rodgers' resignation last month, Celtic is seeking
a new manager, and Bellamy's name has surfaced as a potential candidate. However, Bellamy remains focused on Wales' upcoming World Cup qualifiers.
"It's not on my radar and it won't be on my radar," Bellamy stated regarding the Celtic job. He acknowledges the connection due to his past stint at the club during the 2004-05 season when he scored nine goals and won a Scottish Cup under interim boss Martin O'Neill. "I can understand the links because I played there, [now] I'm coaching, so I definitely understand the links," he added.
Bellamy emphasised his commitment to his current role with Wales. "I love what I'm doing at this present moment," he expressed. His primary focus is on the upcoming matches, particularly the play-off in March. "To me, that's all I'm focused on," he said, acknowledging that while it might sound clichéd, it's genuinely where his attention lies.
Since taking over as Wales manager in July 2024, Bellamy has led the team through 14 matches, achieving six wins, four draws, and four losses. Currently sitting third in their World Cup qualifying group, they trail leaders Belgium by four points. The team faces crucial matches against Liechtenstein and North Macedonia later this month.

Reflecting on his time at Celtic during the 2004-05 season, Bellamy fondly remembers scoring nine goals and winning a Scottish Cup under Martin O'Neill's leadership. Despite these achievements and the allure of managing one of Britain's top clubs, Bellamy remains steadfast in his dedication to Wales.
Bellamy's unwavering focus is evident as he prepares for upcoming challenges with Wales. He appreciates what he currently has and is determined to lead Wales successfully through their World Cup qualifying campaign. His commitment underscores his passion for his current role.
