Bangkok delivered another spectacular Friday night on November 7 as ONE Friday Fights 132 showcased rising talent across Muay Thai and MMA. The Asia primetime broadcast featured contract dreams realized and winning streaks extended.
Abdallah Ondash punched his ticket to the main roster with a devastating third-round knockout of Kompet Sitsarawatsuer in their flyweight Muay Thai battle. The 24-year-old Lebanese striker earned the coveted US$100,000 contract with his performance.
Ondash matched Kompet's aggression from the opening bell. Every time the Thai veteran launched his signature right kick, Ondash caught it cleanly and countered with rapid punches that disrupted his opponent's balance.
Round two saw Ondash land a thunderous spinning body
kick to the ribs. Both warriors then traded brutal hooks at close range, neither willing to give ground in heated exchanges.
The finish came quickly in the final frame of the fight. As Kompet pressed forward, Ondash connected with a left hook that sent him crashing to the canvas for the first time.
Kompet rose bravely but walked straight into another devastating left hook. The referee waved it off at just 0:25 of round three, ending the contest and changing Ondash's life forever.
The victory marked Ondash's seventh overall win on ONE Friday Fights and third consecutive triumph. He improved to 23-2 while joining younger brother Ramadan on the global roster after similar contract-earning heroics.
Khunponnoi Sor Sommai pushed his ONE Friday Fights winning streak to six consecutive victories with a hard-fought unanimous decision over Myanmar's Thant Zin in flyweight Muay Thai action at the same venue.
Thant Zin attacked aggressively early, chopping heavy leg kicks and landing a sharp left hook that troubled the veteran Thai striker. The 19-year-old brought relentless forward pressure throughout the opening exchanges.
Khunponnoi weathered the early storm and responded with precise left high kicks that gradually slowed Thant Zin's movement. The 32-year-old's experience showed as he systematically broke down his younger opponent's rhythm.
Round two belonged to Khunponnoi as he mixed body shots with head strikes effectively. Thant Zin absorbed punishment while marching forward courageously, refusing to retreat despite mounting damage from varied attacks.
The final round became a war of attrition. Both men traded shots until the crowd erupted, but Khunponnoi's body kicks steadily drained Thant Zin's energy reserves and secured the unanimous decision victory.
With the win, Thailand's Khunponnoi improved his impressive record to 126-33 overall. His six-fight streak on the platform continues building momentum toward potential main roster consideration in the near future.
