Hyderabad was added to the itinerary to give South Indian fans an opportunity to witness Lionel Messi as the Argentina star makes his grand return to India. Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy expressed
his excitement.
The Chief minister also indicated that the Telangana government is exploring appointing Messi as the brand ambassador for the "Telangana Rising 2047" initiative, aimed at propelling the state's economy towards a $3 trillion target by 2047.

It is an exciting moment for our city and for every football fan who has dreamt of seeing a legend like you on our soil. Hyderabad is ready to host him with warmth, pride and the spirit that defines our people," he wrote on X.

Messi himself confirmed Hyderabad's addition on social media, thanking Indian fans and saying, "The GOAT tour kicks off in a few weeks' time!!! I'm happy to share that Hyderabad has been added to my visits to Kolkata, Mumbai, and Delhi. See you soon, India!"
Lionel Messi India Tour Details
December 13: The tour kicks off in Kolkata with a 7v7 celebrity match and football masterclass. From Kolkata, Messi will travel the same evening to Hyderabad.
December 13 Evening: Hyderabad joins the list of host cities for the first time, with the event set to be held at either Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium or Gachibowli Stadium from 7 PM onwards.
December 14: Mumbai hosts Messi at the Brabourne Stadium, where he will participate in the "Padel GOAT Cup," including a penalty shootout showcase and interaction with celebrities from sports and entertainment.
December 15: The grand finale in New Delhi at Arun Jaitley Stadium will feature a felicitation ceremony where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to meet Messi.
