The Women's Premier League has entered its fourth season, adding another exciting phase to India's premier women's T20 competition. The 2026 tournament kicked off on January 9 and is set to culminate with
the final on February 5.
This season features five contenders-Mumbai Indians Women, Royal Challengers Bengaluru Women, Delhi Capitals Women, Gujarat Giants Women, and UP Warriorz Women-competing for the crown, reflecting the rapid rise in talent and competitiveness within Indian women's cricket.
WPL 2026 Tournament Overview and Preview Format
Double round-robin league stage (each team plays 8 matches), followed by playoffs. The top team advances directly to the final, while the second and third-placed teams contest the Eliminator for a spot in the summit clash.
Total Matches: 22 league games + Eliminator + Final.
Venues: The first leg (first 11 matches, January 9-17) is at Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai. The action then shifts to Baroda Cricket Association Stadium (Kotambi Stadium), Vadodara, for the remaining league matches, Eliminator (February 3), and Final (February 5).
