Roberto Mancini, previously at the helm of Manchester City and Italy's national team, has accepted a two-and-a-half-year contract to lead Al Sadd, the reigning champions of Qatar. Mancini was considered
for the Nottingham Forest position earlier this season but was passed over for Sean Dyche. Before this, he managed Saudi Arabia's national team for just over a year, resigning last October.
Mancini's career highlights include guiding Manchester City to their inaugural Premier League victory in the 2011-12 season. He also secured three Serie A titles with Inter Milan between 2005 and 2008. His recent appointment sees him taking charge of Al Sadd, currently positioned sixth in the Qatar Stars League.

Al Sadd's roster includes players familiar with European football. Notable names are Roberto Firmino, formerly of Liverpool, and Romain Saiss, who played for Wolves. This blend of talent is expected to complement Mancini’s tactical approach.
Mancini's decision to leave Italy after winning Euro 2020 against England sparked criticism back home. He chose to manage Saudi Arabia instead, a move that surprised many Italian fans. Despite this, his expertise remains respected globally.
Mancini's new role in Qatar marks another chapter in his illustrious career. With his extensive experience and strategic acumen, he aims to elevate Al Sadd’s performance in the league and beyond. His leadership could prove pivotal for the team's future success on both domestic and international stages.
