The Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 introduced a fully revamped player acquisition system for its 14th season. With the addition of the new Jamaica Kingsmen franchise, all players entered a central draft pool with no automatic retentions from 2025 squads.
The 2026 season runs from 7 August to 20 September, featuring matches across Caribbean venues, including a return to Jamaica. Full squads, including overseas players and final captaincy/coaching confirmations, will be updated on official CPL channels in the coming weeks.
Each of the seven teams will field a 17-player squad comprising:
- 9 senior West Indies players
- 5 overseas players (signed via direct negotiation)
- 3 Breakout Players (one mandatory in every playing XI)
Teams confirmed one pre-draft Breakout Player retention each (except the new Kingsmen), and exercised Right to Match Options (RMOs) during the draft on 15
May 2026. The Kingsmen received special uncontested first-three picks limited to Jamaican players.

- Barbados Tridents: Ramon Simmonds
