Daniel Farke praised Dominic Calvert-Lewin, calling him one of the top English strikers in the Premier League after his goal against Brentford. The match at Gtech Community Stadium ended in a draw, with
Calvert-Lewin's 82nd-minute goal equalising Jordan Henderson's earlier strike. This marks Calvert-Lewin's fourth consecutive game scoring, his best streak since 2020.
Despite Leeds securing a point, Calvert-Lewin felt they missed a chance to win. "I think, in the end, it is a point gained," he stated. "The three points were there for the taking. We didn’t give them too much to go off. " Leeds had 18 shots compared to Brentford's seven, showing their attacking intent.
Farke expressed admiration for Leeds' number nine, whose goal helped move the team three points clear of relegation danger. "He is a fantastic striker; it was never in doubt," said Farke. "His CV speaks for itself. [He's an] unbelievable human being, an unbelievable hard worker. We are blessed to have him. "
Calvert-Lewin's recent form has been crucial for Leeds as they aim to climb up the table. His ability to consistently find the net has provided a significant boost to their campaign.

Jordan Henderson opened the scoring with his first Premier League goal since December 2021. He dedicated his celebration to former teammate Diogo Jota, who passed away in July. "Yes, it was his birthday recently," Henderson said about Jota, who would have turned 29 on December 4.
"We will never forget him. We always remember him forever," Henderson added. The tribute highlighted the emotional connection between players and their late friend.
Henderson’s goal brought back memories of his time at Liverpool and underscored the bond shared with Jota and other teammates.
The match showcased resilience from both teams but left Leeds reflecting on missed opportunities despite their strong performance.
