Kerala Blasters Rally to First ISL Win with 2-1 victory Over 10-Man Bengaluru FC

Kerala Blasters claimed their maiden victory of the 2025-26 Indian Super League season, edging out Bengaluru FC 2-1 in a gripping encounter at Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Saturday, April 11, 2026.

Trailing after an own goal by defender Fallou Ndiaye, the visitors mounted a stunning second-half fightback, with VÍctor Bertomeu equalizing and substitute Francisco Feuillassier netting the winner. Kerala now sit 13th with four points, while Bengaluru hold fifth place on 14 points.

The Tuskers started brightly, nearly striking first in the seventh minute as Ndiaye's header was routine for Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. Ebindas Y soon missed a long-range shot, signalling Kerala's early intent.

Bengaluru settled in, with Ryan Williams tormenting the right flank.

Sunil Chhetri nodded wide from Nikhil Poojary's cross in the 23rd minute, and Williams forced a save from Arsh Shaikh shortly after.

Disaster struck Kerala in the 28th minute: Williams skinned his marker and whipped in a cross that Ndiaye, trying to block for Chhetri, deflected into his own goal for a 1-0 Bengaluru lead.

The game shifted dramatically in the 34th minute when Braian Sánchez earned a straight red for violent conduct in a clash with MatÍas Hernández, leaving the hosts with 10 men.

Kerala pressed with Kevin Yoke to the fore, but Chinglensana Singh's backline kept Bengaluru ahead at halftime.

Post-interval, the Blues countered sharply-Williams missed narrowly in the 49th, and Ashique Kuruniyan drew a fine stop from Shaikh.

Kerala seized control, leveling in the 60th minute as Ebindas slipped a perfect pass to Bertomeu, who slotted home coolly into the bottom corner.

The Blasters' surge culminated in the 78th: Debutant Feuillassier collected Ebindas's threaded ball, danced past a defender, and squeezed his shot through Gurpreet's legs for a 2-1 lead.

Bengaluru rallied late with Monirul Molla and Williams probing, but Shaikh's stoppage-time save and Bikash Yumnam's vital block sealed Kerala's resilient triumph.
