The final leg of Lionel Messi's much-celebrated GOAT India Tour shifts to the national capital on December 15, with Delhi all set to host one of the most memorable sporting events in the country this year.
The sold-out programme at the Arun Jaitley Stadium will mark Messi's first-ever public appearance in Delhi, giving fans a rare chance to see the Argentine icon live on Indian soil.
After stops in Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai, the spotlight now firmly rests on Delhi, where Messi will be joined by Luis Suárez and Rodrigo De Paul. The event is expected to blend football, celebrity appearances and ceremonial proceedings, making it far more than just an exhibition match. Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli is also set to be part of the celebrations,
adding further star power to an already glittering line-up.
Earlier in the tour, Messi's meeting with Sachin Tendulkar in Mumbai captured global attention, symbolising a historic crossover between two sporting eras. A similar moment could unfold in Delhi, with fans eagerly awaiting Messi's interaction with Kohli at the venue. In addition, reports suggest that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may have a private meet-and-greet with Messi on the morning of December 15, along with other senior dignitaries.
For fans unable to attend the event in person, comprehensive broadcast coverage has been arranged to ensure no one misses out on the action.
