The NBA night features three strong comebacks and streaks, led by Cleveland, San Antonio and New York. The Cavaliers dominate the Los Angeles Lakers 129-99, the Spurs overhaul the Houston Rockets 111-99,
and the Knicks surge past the Toronto Raptors 119-92 to stretch their recent winning runs.
Across the three NBA matchups, Donovan Mitchell, Victor Wembanyama and Mikal Bridges drive their teams. Mitchell scores 25 for Cleveland, Wembanyama delivers 28 for San Antonio, and Bridges posts 30 for New York. Each performance shapes the game flow, while several role players also contribute key scoring and rebounding numbers.
Mikal Bridges fuels the New York Knicks after halftime, scoring 19 of his 30 points in the third quarter. Karl-Anthony Towns dominates the glass with a season-high 22 rebounds, including 14 in the second quarter, as the Knicks overturn a deficit and defeat the Toronto Raptors 119-92 for a fourth straight win.
OG Anunoby punishes the former team with 26 points and a season-high six steals in New York’s NBA victory. Josh Hart adds 22 points and Jalen Brunson scores 13, helping the Knicks claim an 11th consecutive win over Toronto. Bridges shoots 12 of 15 overall and 4 of 6 from long range for New York.
Toronto’s attack cannot keep pace late despite another productive outing from Brandon Ingram, who scores 27 points. Scottie Barnes finishes with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while RJ Barrett contributes 14. The Raptors’ four-game winning streak ends as New York controls the second half on both ends of the floor.

The Cleveland Cavaliers use a decisive third quarter to pull away from the Los Angeles Lakers and win 129-99. Donovan Mitchell scores 25 points and Jaylon Tyson adds 20, while DeAndre Hunter chips in 19. Jarrett Allen posts 17 points and nine rebounds as Cleveland records a season-best fifth straight victory.
LeBron James returns to Northeast Ohio but is limited to 11 points, the fewest in 13 NBA visits to Cleveland as an opponent. James shoots 3 of 10 from the field, misses all three 3-point attempts, and goes 5 of 6 at the line across 27 minutes during the heavy defeat.
The loss marks James’ largest margin of defeat in Cleveland as a visiting player, though the career record there remains 10-3. James has now dropped two consecutive games in the city. During a first-quarter timeout, James becomes emotional when the Cavaliers play highlights from Game 5 of the 2007 Eastern Conference finals.
The tribute video shows James scoring 25 straight points against the Detroit Pistons in that 2007 playoff classic. On the current Lakers roster, Luka Doncic leads the scoring with 29 points, yet the team falls to 3-2 on a seven-game road trip. Cleveland’s balanced attack and strong defence decide the NBA contest.

NBA: Wembanyama leads Spurs comeback over Rockets
Victor Wembanyama lifts the San Antonio Spurs to a 111-99 victory over the Houston Rockets after trailing by 16. Wembanyama finishes with 28 points, 16 rebounds and five blocks. San Antonio does not lead until late in the third quarter, then controls the fourth period through defence and free throws.
Early in the final quarter, Wembanyama scores nine points, including five free throws, during an 11-0 run. That surge turns the NBA game, giving San Antonio a 95-86 advantage with under eight minutes remaining. Houston responds as Alperen Sengun sinks two free throws, cutting the gap to five points.
The Spurs answer again, stringing together a 10-4 spell that pushes the margin to 107-96 with about two and a half minutes left. Dylan Harper scores six during that stretch. Wembanyama’s performance comes after a difficult outing against Houston last week, when Wembanyama shoots 5 of 21 for 14 points.
Amen Thompson leads the Rockets with 25 points, while Kevin Durant adds 24 in the NBA defeat. Sengun posts a near triple-double, finishing with 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists. Houston cannot overcome San Antonio’s late surge and sees the strong early lead disappear over the final two quarters.

The NBA results underline Cleveland’s continued surge, San Antonio’s resilience and New York’s strong form. Mitchell, Wembanyama and Bridges headline the night, while several teammates supply important support numbers. For the Lakers, Rockets and Raptors, defensive lapses and lost runs prove costly during key stretches of each matchup.
