Shikhar Dhawan, ex India star is reportedly preparing for a new innings off the field, with wedding bells set to ring in February. According to a report by The Hindustan Times, Dhawan is expected to marry
his long-time partner Sophie Shine in the third week of the month, with the ceremony likely to take place in the Delhi-NCR region.
While the wedding is expected to be a private affair, it is tipped to feature a distinguished guest list, including prominent figures from Indian cricket and the film industry. The report adds that Dhawan has been closely involved in planning the event, viewing the occasion as a major personal milestone following a transformative phase in his life.
Dhawan and Sophie first made a public appearance as a couple during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which drew widespread attention. The two are believed to have met in Dubai several years ago, where a friendship gradually evolved into a romantic relationship. They officially confirmed their relationship in May 2025 through social media, offering fans a glimpse into their personal lives.
Sophie Shine is a product consultant by profession and currently serves as the Second Vice President - Product Consultant at Northern Trust Corporation, a US-based financial services firm. Beyond her corporate role, she is also associated with philanthropic initiatives and presently heads the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation, which operates under Da One Sports.
Dhawan was earlier married to Ayesha Mukherjee, and the former couple share a son. In August 2024, the 38-year-old announced his retirement from all forms of professional cricket via a video message on social media, although his final competitive appearance came earlier that year for Punjab Kings in the IPL. His last outing for India was in December 2022.
One of India's most dependable white-ball batters for over a decade, Dhawan enjoyed a stellar international career. He was named Player of the Tournament at the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy and finished as the leading run-scorer at the 2015 World Cup. Across ICC tournaments, Dhawan averaged an exceptional 65.15, the highest among players with more than 1,000 runs.
