New Delhi was engrossed in Lionel Messi magic as the Argentina star graced his presence at the capital, along with Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul.
The Arun Jaitley Stadium witnessed the footballing gladiators
as his final stop in his GOAT India tour ended with immense success, as fans were enthralled to royalty amidst the dusk in Delhi.
At the event, Messi, Suarez and De Paul spent around an hour and were involved in fan engagement, a little bit of touch play, while he met a number of dignitaries.
At the event, Messi met the ICC chairman Jay Shah, who presented him with an Indian jersey, with the number10 on it. Similarly, Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul received No. 9 and No. 7 jerseys with their names, respectively.
Apart from that, Messi was also bestowed with a T20 World Cup special ticket for the India vs USA match, which will take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. The former Barcelona player also received a special signed bat from Shah, which had autographs of India legends.
Messi thanked the Delhi crowd for their love and support and then headed away towards the Delhi Airport. His three-day trip in India thus ends and the trio will head back to Spain today. It started with Kolkata, which left a sour taste after mismanagement and fan unrest, but the events in Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi have gone smoothly.
