Royal Challengers Bengaluru lifted their second Women's Premier League crown with a commanding six-wicket victory over Delhi Capitals in the WPL 2026 final, completing a thrilling chase of 203 at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi on Thursday. RCB reached 204/4 in 19.4 overs, sealing the title after Radha Yadav struck consecutive boundaries to bring the chase to a dramatic finish.
The foundation of RCB's successful pursuit was laid by captain Smriti Mandhana and Georgia Voll, who produced a match-defining stand that wrested control away from Delhi. Mandhana led from the front with an explosive 87 off just 41 deliveries, blending elegance with aggression to keep the required rate within reach.
Voll provided strong support at the other end, anchoring the innings
with a composed 79 off 54 balls as the duo dismantled Delhi's bowling plans with their calculated stroke play.
Delhi Capitals struck early when Chinelle Henry removed Grace Harris for nine in the second over, briefly raising hopes of early breakthroughs. However, Mandhana and Voll absorbed the pressure before launching a counterattack that steadily shifted momentum in RCB's favour. Even after the partnership was broken, RCB maintained their composure and finished the chase clinically, with Radha ensuring there were no late hiccups.
Earlier, Delhi Capitals posted a challenging 203/4 after being asked to bat first by Mandhana. The innings gathered momentum through valuable contributions across the order, with a late flourish significantly boosting their total. Chinelle Henry delivered a blistering unbeaten 35 off just 15 balls, striking four boundaries and two sixes in a high-impact cameo. Her aggressive hitting proved crucial, particularly during a punishing assault on Nadine de Klerk in the 19th over, which yielded 24 runs.
Laura Wolvaardt played an important supporting role, scoring 44 off 25 balls before being run out on the final delivery of the innings. Earlier, Jemimah Rodrigues added stability with a well-compiled half-century, while Lizelle Lee gave Delhi an aggressive start with 37 off 30 balls before de Klerk provided RCB with a crucial breakthrough. Arundhati Reddy also made an impact by dismissing Shafali Varma in the powerplay.
Despite posting a formidable total, Delhi Capitals' title drought continued as they suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in a WPL final, while RCB celebrated another landmark triumph built on fearless batting and strong leadership.
