Thomas & Uber Cup 2026: Thomas & India secured a quarterfinal place at the Thomas & Uber Cup 2026, defeating Australia 5-0 in a men's Group A clash in Horsens, Denmark, on Monday. The defending champions dominated all five rubbers to stay unbeaten.

India had earlier overcome Canada 4-1 in their opening group tie. They will now meet top seeds, China, to decide the group winners. China have also beaten Australia 5-0 and Canada 4-1, setting up a crucial final group match.

India made one change from the win over Canada, with HS Prannoy replacing Kidambi Srikanth in singles. Lakshya Sen opened with a 21-14, 21-16 win over Ephraim Stephen Sam. Ayush Shetty then crushed Shrey Dhand 21-8, 21-6 in 26 minutes.

Former Asian champions Satwiksairaj Rankireddy

and Chirag Shetty sealed the tie, beating Rizky Hidayat and Jack Yu 21-14, 21-16 in men's doubles. Prannoy added a 21-11, 21-17 win over Rishi Honda Boopathy. Hariharan Amsakarunan and MR Arjun closed with a 21-12, 21-10 success.
