The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Saturday unveiled the Indian women's squads for the white-ball tour of Australia, marking key returns and exciting new additions ahead of the high-profile
series.
India will play three T20Is and three ODIs between February 15 and March 1, followed by a one-off Test in Perth from March 6 to 9. The Test squad will be announced at a later date.
In the T20I setup, off-spinner Shreyanka Patil and batter Bharti Fulmali have made their way back. Their inclusion adds depth to India's middle-order and spin department as the team prepares for challenging Australian conditions.
The ODI squad features two new faces: wicketkeeper G. Kamalini and left-arm spinner Vaishnavi Sharma, both receiving their maiden national call-ups. Their selection signals India's continued focus on grooming fresh talents ahead of upcoming global tournaments. Pace bowler Kashvee Gautam has also been drafted into the 15-member ODI squad, further bolstering the side's fast-bowling resources.
Both squads will be led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, with vice-captain Smriti Mandhana set to play the role of deputy across formats. The tour comes at a crucial time as India aims to build momentum ahead of a packed international season.
With a mix of experience, form players, and promising newcomers, the upcoming series presents a significant opportunity for the Indian women's team to test its strength against a top-tier opponent like the Aussies.
