Travis Head made a stunning statement in the 2025 Ashes series, smashing the second-fastest century for Australia in the historic contest off just 69 balls at Perth.

to put his team in the driver's seat against England in the 1st Test of the series.
Chasing a target of 205 runs, Australia are 154 for 1 at the moment and the hosts are closing in on a lead in the series. Head has smashed the English bowling so far, as he bats on 101, with 12 fours and 4 sixes.
Travis Head has been a key player for Sunrisers Hyderabad since joining them in 2024 after moving from Royal Challengers Bangalore. In the IPL, he has accumulated over 560 runs with an impressive strike rate above 190, including a century and multiple fast fifties, making him one of the most feared batsmen in the middle order.
Travis Head's century in the ongoing Ashes match is also the fastest in the 4th innings of a match, while his half-century in 36 balls is the fastest in the Ashes in 12 years.
The Australian was retained ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, and he has now shown the exact reason behind SRH's faith in him. Head has been a key part of SRH's batting strength, particularly forming a potent opening partnership alongside Abhishek Sharma.
Speaking of the 1st Ashes Test, England were bowled out for 172 in the first innings. In reply, Australia were bundled out for 132. Despite a 40-run lead, England failed to capitalize and got bundled out for 164 runs, as Mitchell Starc completed a 10-wicket-haul in the match.
