Vani Kapoor clinched her fifth title of the season at the 14th Leg of the Hero Women's Pro Golf Tour. She achieved this with a spectacular finish, scoring three birdies in the last three holes at Rambagh
Golf Club. This performance allowed her to surpass Jasmine Shekar in the final round.
Kapoor's consistent play resulted in a 2-under 68 for three consecutive days, culminating in a total score of 6-under 204. Despite Jasmine Shekar also finishing with a birdie and scoring 68, she ended one stroke behind Vani. This victory further solidified Vani's position at the top of the Hero Order of Merit.
Sneha Singh secured third place with a score of 2-under 208, while Amandeep Drall finished fourth at even par 210. Vani began the final day with a narrow lead, which was quickly erased when Jasmine birdied the first hole. However, Jasmine's bogey on the next hole allowed Vani to regain her advantage.
The competition remained fierce as both players exchanged leads throughout the round. Vani managed to birdie the Par-3 sixth hole, but Jasmine caught up again with a birdie on the ninth. On the back nine, Jasmine took the lead by birdying the 11th hole while Vani maintained pars from holes seven through fifteen.
As they approached the last three holes, Jasmine was still ahead by one stroke. However, Vani's impressive performance saw her birdie each of these holes, while Jasmine could only manage pars on two and a birdie on the last. Amateur Riya Jadon delivered an outstanding round of 67, climbing to fifth place at 1-over 211.
Seher Atwal showcased remarkable skill with five birdies over seven holes from fourth to tenth, finishing with a score of 4-under 66 and tying for sixth place at 2-over 212. Smriti Bhargava ended eighth with a score of 69, while Khushi Khanijau (70), Jahanvi Bakshi (73), and Ridhima Dilawari (75) shared ninth place at 4-over 214.
With five victories in eleven starts this season, Vani Kapoor leads the Order of Merit standings. Amandeep Drall holds second place, followed by Jasmine Shekar in third, Sneha Singh in fourth, and Ridhima Dilawari rounding out the top five.
