Tournament Format and Venues
The WPL 2026 features five teams - Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers
Bengaluru, Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants and UP Warriorz - competing in a double round-robin league where each side plays eight matches.
The league stage consists of 22 matches, followed by an Eliminator and the Final. The team finishing first in the league table qualifies directly for the final, while the second- and third-placed teams battle it out in the Eliminator for the remaining spot.
The opening leg of the tournament (January 9-17) is being staged at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai, before the action shifts to the Baroda Cricket Association Stadium, Vadodara, which will host the remaining league matches as well as the Eliminator (February 3) and the Final (February 5).
