Alejandro Garnacho played a pivotal role in Chelsea's commanding 3-0 victory over Wolves, contributing two assists. This win temporarily elevated Chelsea to second place in the Premier League standings.
Wolves, who recently parted ways with Vitor Pereira following a loss to Fulham, managed to hold Chelsea at bay during the first half. However, Chelsea's performance improved significantly after the break.
In the early stages of the match, Enzo Fernandez and Garnacho both tested Sam Johnstone with impressive attempts. Joao Pedro also had a chance but missed the target in what was a challenging first half for Chelsea. The breakthrough came six minutes into the second half when Malo Gusto headed in Garnacho's cross for his first senior goal.
Fernandez nearly forced an own goal from Ladislav Krejci before Joao Pedro celebrated his 100th Premier League appearance by scoring with a first-time shot inside the box. Garnacho then set up former Wolves player Pedro Neto for Chelsea's third goal, delivering a perfect pass for Neto to score from close range during a swift counterattack.
Chelsea have now seen 11 different players score in the Premier League this season, matching Arsenal and Brighton for the most diverse scoring lineup. Garnacho marked his 99th league appearance with two assists in one game for the first time. Meanwhile, Fernandez was instrumental in midfield, leading the team with five shots and making 11 entries into the final third.

Wolves' Struggles Continue
For Wolves, their struggles persist as they remain winless after 11 league matches this season. This is only the second time in their history they have failed to secure a win in their opening 11 games, mirroring their performance from the 1983-84 season. In this match against Chelsea, Wolves did not register a single shot on target and managed just 0.17 expected goals compared to Chelsea's 3.38.
Late in the game, Wolves almost conceded another goal when Marc Guiu hit the post of an open net after capitalising on Joao Pedro's saved attempt. Despite their efforts, Wolves continue to sit at the bottom of the table without a victory this season.
