The Indian Men's cricket team have a busy and significant year ahead as the calendar turns to 2026. The next 365 days will bring a lot of cricket action as the Indian team will participate in numerous tournaments and bilateral series.
After a significant 2025, the Men in Blue will aim to continue their upsurge in the white-ball format, while maintaining a stern focus on resurgence in the Test format.

New Zealand (Home)
As the year starts, India are set to face New Zealand in a limited-overs series at home. They will lock horns against the Black Caps in a three-match ODI and 5-match T20I series, which starts from January 11.

T20 World Cup 2026 (India and Sri Lanka)
Immediately after that, the T20 World Cup 2026 on home soil for the Indian team. Suryakumar Yadav will lead the side as the World Cup commences
from February 7, and continues till March 8. India have been placed with Pakistan, Namibia, USA and the Netherlands in the group stages.

Afghanistan (Home)
After the T20 World Cup and then IPL 2026, India will host Afghanistan in a three-match ODI series in June. There will be a Test match as well, which will be out of the WTC calendar. The schedule and dates of that series is yet to be confirmed.
England (Away)
India will travel to England for a limited-overs series in July. Team India will play a 5-match T20I series, which will be followed with 3 ODI matches. It is likely that Shubman Gill will lead the side, while Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are expected to feature in the ODIs.

Asian Games 2026 (Japan)
The Indian team will participate in the Asian Games in September, which will be taking place in Japan.
West Indies (Home)
Team India will play a home series against West Indies. It will be a white-ball assignment with 3 ODIs and 5T20Is.
New Zealand (Away)
Around October, Team India will travel to New Zealand for a multiformat series. Two Test matches will be played along with 3 ODIs.
Sri Lanka (Home)
The Sri Lankan team will travel to India for a three-match T20I and three-match ODI series in December to conclude the calendar.
