The Detroit Pistons have been on an impressive run, securing their sixth consecutive victory by defeating the Philadelphia 76ers. Cade Cunningham played a pivotal role, scoring 26 points, with 24 of those coming in the second half, leading to a 111-108 win. This triumph places the Pistons at an 8-2 record for the season.
Less than two years ago, the Pistons endured a challenging season with a record of 14-68. Reflecting on this transformation, Cunningham expressed disbelief at their past struggles and satisfaction with their current progress. "Even then, I couldn't believe that we were in such a low. So to be here now, I feel like we're where we're supposed to be," he said.
The Pistons are currently leading the Eastern Conference and are only
behind the Oklahoma City Thunder in the overall NBA standings. Jalen Duren contributed significantly with 21 points and 16 rebounds. He remains optimistic about the team's potential, stating, "I think sky's the limit. "
Cunningham also provided substantial support with 11 assists and four rebounds. Duren praised him as "the best guard in the NBA," acknowledging his ability to make crucial plays consistently.
Pistons coach J.B. Bickerstaff commended Duren's performance this season, highlighting his average of 19.4 points per game. Bickerstaff noted Duren's dominance on both ends of the court, particularly his defensive communication and ability to facilitate plays.

Cunningham feels fortunate to be part of a franchise that shares his mentality for growth and success. He acknowledged that while they have made significant strides, there is still more work ahead. "It's been a hell of a ride. It's still early," he remarked.
The Pistons' recent success is attributed to their collective effort and determination to improve continuously. As they maintain focus on their goals, they aim for achievements beyond their current winning streak.
