One major factor behind Spain’s World Cup hopes is the rise of winger Lamine Yamal, who has produced 21 goals and 15 assists in all competitions this season, with only Kylian Mbappe, on 44 direct goal involvements, ahead among LaLiga players.
De La Fuente highlighted Yamal’s progress and potential, saying: "Lamine is a much better footballer than he was two years ago and worse than he will be in another two years. He's in a development phase and is contributing more and more to the team with each passing day. He has a long way to go, and his best version is yet to come. "
