Aryna Sabalenka is turning heads at Roland Garros before even striking a ball, with the World No. 1 unveiling a bespoke jewelry set designed in collaboration with luxury New York jeweler Material Good ahead of the French Open.
The Belarusian, an official ambassador for the brand, debuted a custom-made necklace created specifically for the clay-court Grand Slam. Designed by the MG Atelier, the statement piece combines rare gemstones, diamond pave detailing and a specially engineered chain built to withstand the physical demands of elite tennis while complementing Sabalenka's custom Nike tournament kit.
The latest creation continues a growing tradition between Sabalenka and Material Good, with each Grand Slam bringing a unique jewelry design inspired
by the colors and themes of her on-court outfits.
Unlike traditional luxury jewelry, Sabalenka's tournament pieces are specifically engineered for competition. Material Good sources heavyweight chains designed to prevent flipping, tangling or snapping during intense movement, while maintaining the appearance of a high-end fashion accessory under stadium lights.
At the heart of each design is a carefully selected statement gemstone chosen to match her tournament wardrobe. The necklaces also feature the jeweler's signature "cobblestone pave" technique, where diamonds of varying sizes surround the center stone to maximize brilliance and create a textured finish.
The Roland Garros collection follows several eye-catching Grand Slam collaborations. For the Australian Open, Sabalenka wore a necklace centered around a 4.30-carat cornflower blue sapphire surrounded by 1.31 carats of diamonds. At the US Open, the centerpiece was a 10.72-carat pink-orange tourmaline accented by seven pear-shaped diamonds, designed to mirror the sunset-inspired tones of her New York outfit.
While full specifications for the French Open piece have yet to be publicly disclosed, the necklace immediately became one of the standout fashion moments of the tournament's opening weekend.
Aryna Sabalenka is "Ready to Fight"
The jewelry reveal comes as Sabalenka prepares for another attempt to capture the one Grand Slam title missing from her collection.
The 28-year-old arrives in Paris as the top seed and one of the tournament favorites after reaching her maiden Roland Garros final in 2025, where she fell to Coco Gauff in a three-set championship match.
"I know how to play on clay, and it's all about being physically and mentally healthy, to go for it, and to be ready to fight," Sabalenka told reporters ahead of the tournament.
The Belarusian admitted she faced physical struggles during the early stages of the clay-court season, suffering disappointing exits in Madrid and Rome after completing the prestigious Sunshine Double at Indian Wells and Miami.
However, Sabalenka believes those concerns are now behind her.
"Right now I feel 100 percent," she said. "I'm healed everywhere and I'm ready to go. "
The World No. 1 added that her improved consistency over recent seasons has come from learning to better control her emotions on court.
"My emotions were destroying my game, and my level was dropping dramatically when I would start overreacting on everything," Sabalenka explained. "Making sure that my opponent doesn't see what's going on in my head and staying in the zone has been a huge improvement over the years. "
With renewed confidence, full fitness and another signature Material Good creation around her neck, Sabalenka will begin her Roland Garros campaign against Spain's Jessica Bouzas Maneiro as she looks to transform last year's heartbreak into a first French Open title.
