India's Priyanuj Bhattacharya and Japan's Miku Matsushima stole the show with gripping triumphs, grabbing the U-19 boys' and girls' singles crowns at the WTT Youth Contender 2026, backed by Sports Authority of Gujarat at Vadodara's SAMA Indoor Sports Complex on Monday.
Sreejani Chakraborty and Aditya Das powered through to claim U-15 girls' and boys' titles, while Aadya Baheti and Rajdeep Biswas dominated the U-11 showdowns.
This second edition, run by Table Tennis Association of Baroda and powered by Ultimate Table Tennis (UTT), packs in 226 young stars battling across U-11 to U-19 divisions.
U-19 Boys: Priyanuj's Ice-Cool Clutch
Priyanuj stayed rock-solid under pressure, edging Sarthak Arya 12-10, 11-8, 14-12 in a nail-biter. Top seed Abhinandh Pradhivadhi crashed out in quarters
to Naman Bhatnagar, who fell to Priyanuj in semis.
U-19 Girls: Miku's Epic Comeback
Miku roared back from 1-2 down to crush top seed Divyanshi Bhowmick 11-6, 9-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-3. In semis, she ousted India's Jennifer Varghese 6-11, 12-10, 8-11, 11-4, 11-7-Jennifer had toppled defending champ Syndrela Das in quarters. Syndrela still shone, snagging U-17 girls' singles and U-19 mixed doubles gold earlier.
U-11 Fireworks
Aadya Baheti outlasted Sakshya Santosh 15-13, 11-8, 12-10 for girls' gold. Rajdeep Biswas grinded down Sharvil Karambelkar 11-8, 11-6, 11-13, 11-4 in boys'.
U-15 Showdowns
Aditya Das steamrolled Sanjay Jagdish 11-4, 11-9, 11-8 as top seed. Sreejani Chakraborty clawed to victory in girls' 8-11, 11-8, 7-11, 11-7, 11-5-a five-game thriller.
