India's Junior Men's Hockey Team dominated Oman 17-0 in their Pool B match at the FIH Hockey Men's Junior World Cup Tamil Nadu 2025, following a 7-0 victory over Chile. This result placed India atop the Pool B standings with 24 goals scored across two games, ahead of Switzerland.
Arshdeep Singh (4', 33', 40'), Manmeet Singh (17', 26', 36'), and Dilraj Singh (29', 32', 58') each notched hat-tricks, while Ajeet Yadav (34', 47'), Gurjot Singh (39', 45'), Ingalemba Thounaojam Luwang (43', 50'), Anmol Ekka (29'), and Sarda Nand Tiwari (55') added to the tally.
Oman held firm defensively in the opening quarter after Arshdeep's early field goal, limiting India to a 1-0 lead. As many as three goals were scored in the 2nd quarter, setting the momentum
for India's high-scoring game. Manmeet scored again in the 26th minute, while Anmol and Dilraj joined the party with their 29th-minute goal that swelled India's lead to a splendid 5-0 by the end of the first half.
The third quarter saw India unleash eight goals in quick succession, overwhelming Oman's defense with rapid attacks and successful penalty corner conversions. Entering the final quarter at 12-0, India added five more in a routine finish, while their goalkeepers secured another clean sheet despite heavy rain and Oman's lone penalty corner chance.
