Nancy has faced a challenging start as Celtic manager, losing his first three matches against Hearts, Roma, and now St Mirren. He acknowledges the pressure but remains confident about turning things around. "I saw good things, but it wasn't enough to win the game," he told BBC Scotland. "We are struggling, conceded a few goals from set-pieces. "
St Mirren's recent victory is reminiscent of their 2012-13 triumph when they defeated Hearts to claim the trophy. Conor McMenamin expressed pride in his team's performance at Hampden Park. "Just proud of all the team, amazing effort from us all," he shared with BBC Scotland. "We worked so hard all week on how we could nullify Celtic and play our own game. "
Despite having fewer shots than Celtic (11 compared to 14), St Mirren capitalised on their opportunities effectively. They achieved an expected goals (xG) tally of 1.3 versus Celtic's 0.8. McMenamin emphasised their belief in beating Celtic: "We came here and believed in ourselves, believed we could beat Celtic. "
Nancy remains committed to improving his team's performance despite recent setbacks. He stated, "The results always count, but I have to see beyond the result; I have to see what we need to do better. " He understands fans' concerns but believes in his vision for the team.

Nancy is aware of the team's current fragility but aims to instil confidence and progress forward. "I think we are a bit fragile at this moment," he admitted. However, he remains positive about his role: "I am happy to be here at this moment. I accept the challenge. "
Celtic fans are understandably questioning Nancy's leadership after these losses. Yet, he reassures them of his commitment: "It's totally normal [the fans] are questioning me, but I think I showed them that we can do better. " Nancy is determined to guide Celtic back on track.
