Sunrisers Hyderabad CEO Kavya Maran's reported wedding to music composer Anirudh Ravichander has become a major talking point, with fresh developments offering a clearer picture of the anticipated celebrations. The most significant update concerns the reception, which has been publicly confirmed for November 21, 2026, in Chennai.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy revealed the development after Kavya's parents, Sun Group chairman Kalanithi Maran and Kavery Maran, met him at his residence in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, on October 16.
When And Where Will Kavya Maran Get Married?
According to media reports, Kavya and Anirudh could exchange vows in Greece on November 11, 2026. However, neither the couple nor their families have publicly confirmed the ceremony's date or the specific venue.
The reported destination wedding has attracted attention because of the couple's prominent backgrounds. Kavya is closely associated with the IPL franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad, while Anirudh is one of the most sought-after composers in Tamil cinema.
The exact location in Greece, the guest arrangements and other details surrounding the ceremony remain undisclosed.
Chennai Reception On November 21
The strongest publicly available information concerns the Chennai reception. Revanth Reddy's post stated that the reception of Kavya Maran and Anirudh Ravichander is scheduled for November 21.
Earlier media reports had suggested November 14 as the reception date, but subsequent coverage on October 17 reported November 21 instead. The latter date was cited in the Chief Minister's public acknowledgement of the invitation.
Reports have also suggested that a five-star hotel in Chennai could host the event. However, the property's name and other logistical details have not been officially announced.
Which Celebrities Could Attend?
Given the families' connections across business, politics, cricket and cinema, the reception is expected to attract considerable attention. Reports have mentioned prominent film personalities and political figures among the possible invitees, although a verified guest list has not been released.
For now, the Chennai reception date is the clearest confirmed detail. The Greece ceremony, its precise venue and the wider guest list remain subject to official confirmation from the couple or their families.
