IPL 2026: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the playoff venues for the nineteenth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Following the end of the 70 high-intensity league-stage matches, the tournament now enters the business end. Qualifier 1, featuring the top two teams on the points table, is scheduled for May 26 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, with the winner securing an automatic place in the Final.
The tournament then shifts to the New International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh, where the Eliminator between the third and fourth-placed sides will be held on May 27. The same venue will also host Qualifier 2 on May 29, a decisive clash in which the loser of Qualifier 1 will take on the winner of the Eliminator for
the remaining spot in the Final.
The final will take place on May 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, the largest cricket stadium. Naturally, the final promises to be a cracker of a game, given that the match is poised to be a fitting end to an incredible season.
Due to specific operational and logistical factors, the TATA IPL 2026 Playoffs will be staged across three venues as a one-time arrangement. Bengaluru had initially been selected to host the Final. However, the venue was later changed after certain requirements from local authorities and the state association fell outside the BCCI's established guidelines and protocols.
