She began her campaign with 8.723 points in Gunshu before producing an even stronger performance in Changquan, where she registered 9.316 points to secure a place on the podium.

and establishing itself as a competitive force on the international stage.
Chanu's success represents a significant step forward for the sport and highlights the growing talent emerging from the country.
Her bronze medal also added to India's impressive start at the ongoing Youth Olympic Games, taking the country's overall medal tally to three.
Chanu became the third Indian athlete to reach the podium, following Khushbu Rajakbhai Darjada's silver medal in the women's 63kg judo category and swimmer Dhinidhi Desinghu's bronze in the women's 100m freestyle. Both athletes secured their respective medals on Monday.
Beyond the medal itself, Chanu's performance could prove to be an important source of inspiration for young wushu practitioners across India.
Her achievement demonstrates that Indian athletes have the ability to challenge established international competitors and make their presence felt at major sporting events.
The historic success also highlights the contribution of her coaches, support staff and the Indian wushu fraternity, whose collective efforts have played an important role in developing her talent.
For Indian wushu, Chanu's bronze is much more than another medal at a global competition. It is a landmark achievement that could inspire a new generation of athletes and give the sport fresh momentum in its pursuit of international success.
