India's batting maestro Virat Kohli has earned a nomination for the ICC ODI Cricketer of the Year 2025 award, positioning him to potentially claim another major individual honor.
The 37-year-old, who stepped away from Test cricket earlier this year, continues to shine in ODIs with consistent high-impact performances.
Kohli is the only Indian cricketer on the shortlist, which also features Matthew Breetzke, Joe Root, Shai Hope, Daryl Mitchell, Matt Henry, Adil Rashid, Sikandar Raza, Mitchell Santner, and Jayden Seales.
Notably absent is former India captain Rohit Sharma, even after his solid contributions in 2025. Rohit had a terrific outing in the Australia series and then backed that up with decent performances against South Africa.
