Brighton secured a 2-0 win against Nottingham Forest, with Stefanos Tzimas scoring his first Premier League goal. Maxim De Cuyper also found the net, helping Brighton move up to fifth in the league standings.
Forest had entered the match on a high, having won their last three games across all competitions.
In the opening 20 minutes, Brighton unleashed nine shots, marking their highest ever in that period during a Premier League game. They ended with 17 attempts overall, with 13 occurring before halftime. Despite this dominance, it was not until late in the game that Tzimas sealed the victory.
Forest's recent form included a notable 3-0 victory over Liverpool. However, they struggled to break through Brighton's defence after falling behind just before halftime when De Cuyper scored past Matz Sels. The home side remained just above the relegation zone following this defeat.
Bart Verbruggen played a crucial role for Brighton by making key saves, including denying Igor Jesus after halftime. At the other end, Matz Sels produced an impressive double-save to keep Forest in contention before Tzimas capitalised on Morato's error to secure the win for Brighton.

Young Talent Shines for Brighton
Tzimas' goal at 19 years and 328 days made him the seventh teenager to score for Brighton in the Premier League. Alongside Charalampos Kostoulas' earlier goal this season, Brighton became the first team in league history to have two Greek players score in one campaign.
Despite missing early opportunities through Yankuba Minteh, Georginio Rutter, and Diego Gomez, Brighton maintained pressure throughout. Sean Dyche's team eventually broke through with De Cuyper's goal during first-half stoppage time.
This victory highlights Brighton's attacking prowess and solidifies their position near the top of the table. Their ability to convert chances and maintain defensive stability was evident throughout this encounter against a resilient Forest side.
