Philippe Clement, previously in charge of Rangers, has taken over as head coach at Norwich City, replacing Liam Manning. Clement's tenure at Rangers ended in February when the team was 13 points behind
Celtic in the Scottish Premiership. He has now committed to a three-and-a-half-year contract with Norwich. Manning, who managed only two wins in 15 Championship games, leaves Carrow Road after a challenging period.
Since September, Norwich City has been unable to secure a victory in the Championship. They have drawn three and lost eight matches, marking an 11-game winless streak. This is their longest league drought since a similar run in the Premier League from August to November 2004. Currently, Norwich sits second-bottom in the league with nine points, four points away from safety.

Clement expressed his familiarity with the club and acknowledged its current challenges. "I've known this club for a long time and, whilst we are not in a good moment at this time," he stated on the club's website. He is eager to collaborate with players and staff to improve their situation. After discussions with the owners about their ambitions, he felt convinced that joining Norwich was the right decision.
Upcoming Challenges
Clement's first match as head coach will be against Birmingham City this Saturday. His immediate focus is on reversing the team's fortunes and restoring confidence among players and fans alike. The new coach aims to implement changes swiftly to help Norwich climb out of their precarious position in the league standings.
During his 16-month spell at Rangers, Clement managed 86 games across all competitions. He achieved 55 victories, resulting in a win percentage of 64%. His experience and track record are expected to bring positive changes to Norwich City as they aim for better results under his leadership.
Clement is optimistic about turning around Norwich City's current form while aligning with the club's long-term goals. His appointment brings hope for improved performances and renewed belief among supporters as they look forward to upcoming fixtures under new management.
