Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham have been included in Thomas Tuchel's England squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. These matches against Serbia and Albania mark the final competitive games before
the World Cup next year. Bournemouth's Alex Scott has also earned his first senior call-up to the national team.
England secured their spot in the World Cup with a decisive 5-0 victory over Latvia on October 14, where Harry Kane scored twice. These upcoming fixtures will allow Tuchel to assess his squad options. Manchester City's Foden is back after missing the last three squads, having last played for England in March against Latvia.
Foden has rediscovered his form from the 2023-24 season, netting four goals and providing three assists in 13 appearances across all competitions this season. He recently scored twice in Manchester City's 4-1 win over Borussia Dortmund, aiming to bring that performance level to the international stage under Tuchel.

Bellingham returns after missing October due to shoulder surgery. He has contributed significantly at Real Madrid with three goals and one assist in ten matches, including a goal against Barcelona. Scott's impressive start at Bournemouth and his role in England's Under-21 European Championship victory have earned him a spot.
Other returning players include Newcastle goalkeeper Nick Pope, Man City defender Nico O'Reilly, and Crystal Palace midfielder Adam Wharton. Players omitted from the previous squad are Morgan Gibbs-White, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, James Trafford, and Ollie Watkins.
Upcoming Matches
England will face Serbia at Wembley Stadium on November 13 before heading to Albania for their final Group K match three days later. Notable absentees from this squad include Brighton's Danny Welbeck, Everton loanee Jack Grealish, and Madrid's Trent Alexander-Arnold.
These matches offer an opportunity for Tuchel to fine-tune his team ahead of FIFA’s flagship tournament next year. The inclusion of both experienced players and newcomers reflects a strategy to balance skill with fresh talent as England prepares for global competition.
