Dubai, Dec 23: India all-rounder Deepti Sharma and South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt have claimed the top spots in the latest International Cricket Council (ICC) Women's Player Rankings, following impressive

performances in the past week.

Deepti Sharma has climbed to No.1 in the ICC Women's T20I Bowling Rankings for the first time in her career.

The off-spinner's figures of 1 for 20 in the opening T20I of India's home series against Sri Lanka in Visakhapatnam proved decisive, allowing her to edge past Australia's Annabel Sutherland by a single rating point. Deepti now leads the charts with 737 rating points, underlining her growing influence as a match-winning all-rounder for India.

Wolvaardt Reclaims ODI Batting Summit

South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt has regained the No.1 position in the ICC Women's ODI Batting Rankings, powered by a prolific run against Ireland at home. Wolvaardt struck back-to-back centuries-124 and an unbeaten 100-to open a nine-point gap over India opener Smriti Mandhana and reach a career-best 820 rating points.

Batting Movers in T20Is

India's Jemimah Rodrigues was one of the biggest movers among T20I batters. After being named Player of the Match for her unbeaten 69 off 44 balls in Visakhapatnam, Rodrigues jumped five places to ninth. Sri Lanka opener Vishmi Gunaratne also made progress, climbing six spots to 64th following her 39-run knock.

T20I Bowling Gains for India

India's bowling depth was further reflected in the rankings, with Arundhati Reddy moving up five places to 36th and Shree Charani making a notable leap of 19 places to 69th.

Among bowlers, Ireland seamer Arlene Kelly improved from 32nd to 27th, while South Africa's Tumi Sekhukhune moved up from 78th to 67th, with both players claiming three wickets across the two matches during the week.
