ONE Friday Fights 139: Worapon Becomes First To KO Soe Lin Oo At Lumpinee

Thai striker Worapon Lukjaoporongtom etched his name into ONE Championship history with a statement knockout of Myanmar's famously durable Soe Lin Oo in the bantamweight Muay Thai main event at ONE Friday

Fights 139, held on Friday, January 23, at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium.

Known as the "Man of Steel," Soe Lin Oo had never been finished in ONE before, but Worapon found the answer in emphatic fashion. From the opening exchanges, the Sor Dechapan representative went to work with teasing low kicks, patiently drawing reactions before unleashing heavy, committed strikes upstairs. Soe Lin Oo absorbed the early punishment as expected, but the pressure never relented.

After repeatedly chopping at the Myanmar veteran's lead leg, Worapon suddenly changed gears. A crisp three-punch combination split the guard, followed instantly by a thunderous left high kick that landed flush. The impact was decisive. Soe Lin Oo dropped where he stood, forcing the referee to wave off the contest just 1:27 into the opening round. The finish marked Worapon's 69th career victory and a return to winning form in spectacular style.

Earlier on the card, unbeaten Russian prospect Rustam "Tomahawk" Yunusov continued his rapid rise with a commanding unanimous decision over Thai stalwart Khunponnoi Sor Sommai in a featured flyweight Muay Thai bout. After a measured opening minute, Yunusov began asserting control with sharp combinations and clean counters, closing the first round strongly.

The second round saw the 19-year-old dominate in the clinch, repeatedly landing knees and elbows and opening a cut above Khunponnoi's right eye. Despite the damage, the Thai veteran pressed forward, but Yunusov's pressure and composure never dipped. The pattern held in the final round, with the Russian finishing strongly and sealing the verdict on the judges' scorecards. The win improved Yunusov to 16-0 overall and 7-0 in the ONE Friday Fights series, underlining his status as a serious threat in the flyweight division.
